Wren Pigeon House Meadow, Beaconsfield, U.K 5 1/4Ó x 7Ó November 23, 1935 Original typed letter signed by the author Percival Christopher (P.C.) Wren on printed stationery. The letter reads in full: ÒMy dear Mr. Whittemore, Many thanks for your letter of November 14th which has just reached me. I enclose the autograph with much pleasure; also one of my signed book-plates [not included, here], in case you'd care to have it for your autograph album, or to stick in your copy of BEAU GESTE. With every good wish, Yours most sincerely, P.C. Wren.Ó Fine. P.C. Wren (1875 - 1941) wrote mostly adventure themed fiction, and is best known for his novel Beau Geste (the subject of many films) and its sequels, Beau Sabreur and Beau Ideal - all set in Africa with the French Foreign Legion, to which Wren claimed membership, but, while this added flair to his and social and literary persona, it was never fully confirmed.
