The autobiography of Jaqueline Cochran, world famous aviatrix, who in 1937 was given the General Billy Mitchell award for her contribution to the progress of aviation in the United States and was also awarded the Distinguished Service Medal in 1945 as Director of the Women's Air Force Service Pilots (WASPS) for flying over 60 million miles in wartime, and received the International Flying Organization's gold medal in 1953 for outstanding achievements as a pilot - male or female.
