A little foxing to endpapers, some soiling and rubbing to original cloth, former owner's signature, some evidence of a removed label on rear pastedown, very good plus in a facsimile dust jacket with the artiwork showing the ice age man holding aloft a severed head. An Allan Quartemain story which takes place many thousands of years ago during one of Allan's early incarnations and involves pre-historic adventure and romance. The American edition was published simultaneously with the British edition.

First Edition. This lovely and striking poster with a vivid red color background reads: ÒSHEÓ H. RIDER HAGGARD'S GREATEST STORY - BETTY BLYTHE IN THE SAMUELSON FILM VERSION OF SHE - SEE TIT-BITS.Ó In the center the lovely silent film actress Blythe is shown as SHE sitting on her throne. The poster measures 28 x 35 inches. Tit-Bits was the popular London newspaper created by George Newnes who published many of H. Rider Haggard's novels in their sixpenny novels series, and even published a movie tie-in edition of SHE to coincide with the release of Betty Blythe film. In fine condition. This film was the finest film version of Haggard's work to be produced in his lifetime.
