Original autograph signature of actor Roddy McDowal as a boy in his youthful hand in fountain pen: ÒTo Ken - Always wishing you well, Roddy McDowall.Ó on a 5 1/2Ó x 3 1/2Ó sheet from an autograph album with a small profile black & white photograph of Mr. McDowall as a young man affixed to the bottom right corner. Fine. Roddy McDowall (1928 - 1998) appeared in his first film, Murder in the Family (1938), at age ten, and went on to a very successful career in such classic films as John Ford's How Green Was My Valley (1941), acting alongside Walter Pidgeon, Maureen O'Hara and Donald Crisp, My Friend Flicka (1943) and Lassie Come Home (1943), eventually appearing on the Broadway stage and, later, on television. He also developed an extensive collection of movies and Hollywood memorabilia, and published five acclaimed books of his own photography.
