Mitchum writes: ÒMr. Bowman, Having never met George Eells, my impression of him is formed only by my witness of his work. The book is a compilation of inaccuracies and downright fabrication, and I have adopted a posture of disclaimer and refusal to sign my name to avoid any semblance of endorsement. I might suggest that you paste this note inside the book, if you so please. Sincerely, Robert Mitchum.Ó The letter measures 8 1/2Ó x 11Ó and is in fine condition with a center crease from folding. The book is illustrated with many black & white photos covering Robert Mitchum's family life and work. Fine copy in a fine bright dust jacket.
