Near fine copy with a hint of use in a very good plus bright dust jacket with some slight dust soiling to the spine and a couple of tiny edge nicks. The front panel of the dust jacket has a vivid full color painting showing a man shooting a gun at a spectral creature coming out of a statue in the Paris museum. The rear panel painting shows a beautiful sleeping woman in bed while a large green monstrous arm and hand reaches for a stack of letters tied with a red ribbon lying on her night stand. Listed in both Bleiler and Hubin.

Photoplay edition issued to coincide with the release of the film starring Al Jolson, Betty Compson and child star David Lee. After the massive success of The Jazz Singer, Warner Brothers quickly turned around and created another vehicle to showcase their star. The Singing Fool, like its predecessor, is part silent film and part talkie. The film introduces the song “Sonny Boy”. Very good in dust jacket with a few small nicks and tears. The front panel is a portrait of Jolson being hugged by the boy David Lee. Striking cover.
