New York March 7, 1963 
Signed by the author, “Richard Bathelmess”. Actor Richard Barthelmess was best known for his work in silent films and early talkies such as Tol'able David, D.W. Griffith's Way Down East, and Broken Blossoms, as well as The Patent Leather Kid, Noose, The Dawn Patrol, etc. “Dear Mr. Kearns: ...I am glad that you found ‘Tol'able David' to your liking. It was my favorite. Due largely to the fact that I promoted the whole film, from a meeting with Joseph Hergesheimer, after which I formed a producing company (as a very young man), put the script together, and had the happy result of having the whole voted the best picture of that year--1921!...Sincerely Richard Barthelmess”. Evidence of the letter having been removed from an album with a piece of paper taped over, some show through, very good.

Original sepia photographic portrait signed by silent film star Olive Borden with a fountain pen: “To Luella, Kindest regards, Olive Borden, 1926.” With the noted silent film era celebrity photographer's Max Munn Autrey's credit “Autrey” at the lower left corner. In the photo Miss Borden is glancing coyly at the camera with her arms up behind her dark wavy hair. With the recipient's ownership note: “This photo belongs to Luella Parker, Received June 7, 1926” in pencil on the verso. Two pin holes at the top corners, else fine. Olive Borden (1906 - 1947) is best known for her films 3 Bad Men (1926), Chloe, Love is Calling You (1934), Half Marriage (1929), and Dance Hall (1929). She was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1958.
