1 DUNN, KATHERINE Death Scenes. A Homicide Detective's Scrapbook. Text by Katherine Dunn
Portland Feral House 1996
First Edition. One of 100 deluxe hardbound copies with a tipped-in black & white photograph of the dismembered and arranged body of the Los Angeles murder victim, the Black Dahlia, numbered and signed by the author, Katherine Dunn, author of the novel, Geek Love. The book is a reproduction of an actual photograph scrapbook created by Los Angeles homicide detective, Jack Huddleston, compiled from the 1920s through 1940s. The dozens of photographs are captioned by Huddleston and show all sorts of cases with graphic wounds and gore as well as the bizarre natures of the murders, suicides, and accidents. We warn the potential purchaser that most of the pictures are truly graphic and disturbing and may be too intense for some people. As new hardbound in pictorial boards.
