First Edition.109 page mimeographed screenplay. Paperbound in printed studio wrappers. The Divine Woman was Garbo's fifth American film and has the distinction of being her only “lost” film. No print is known to exist today. The film was directed by one of the silent period's finest directors, Victor Seastrom. Garbo starred along with Lars Hanson, Lowell Sherman, Johnny Mack Brown, Polly Moran, and Dorothy Cumming. This screenplay along with one remaining reel, the existing still photographs are virtually the only way to glimpse the missing work of one of cinema's most celebrated artists. Some minor chipping and tears to wrappers, else very good. A true rarity.
