2 TAYLOR, DEEMS Walt Disney's Fantasia. Foreword by Leopold Stokowski
New York Simon & Schuster 1940
First Edition. Ownership signature and gift inscription dated 1941. Very good copy with some slight dust soiling to the cloth and a bit of fraying and tiny tears to the cloth at the corners in a chipped and creased dust jacket with the illustration on the front panel fully intact and bright. With many color and black & white illustrations including 15 hand-tipped color plates. Noted book illustrator Kay Nielsen worked on the film, Fantasia, and some of his work is in the book. The book recreates the various sections of the film including the terrific sequence showing Mickey Mouse as The Sorceror's Apprentice. Attractive copy with a Golden Age of Hollywood association.
