1 WAYNE, JOHN Idol of the Crowds. Screenplay by George Waggner Based on His Story "Hell on Ice" and Harold Buckley
Los Angeles Universal Pictures 1937
First Edition. Original 128 page mimeographed dialogue and cutting continuity script prepared toward the end of production for the film ‘Idol of the Crowds,' screenplay by George Waggner, based on his story "Hell on Ice" and Harold Buckley, directed by Arthur Lubin, and starring John Wayne, Sheila Bromley, Charles Brokaw, Bill Burrud, and Jane Johns. Bradbound, 8 1/2” x 11”. Very good lightly used copy with a touch of darkening to the covers and some minor edge wear and small tears. The film tells the story of a young and ambitious chicken farmer (Wayne) who takes up professional hockey to make enough money to expand his business, but is met with challenges from corrupt gamblers, and just happens to fall in love along the way.
