First Edition Thus. A novel of the popular play ‘The First Year' by Ruth Alexander which tells the story of the ups and downs of a young couple's first year of marriage. Very good plus copy with a hint of use in a bright very good dust jacket with a few tiny chips and tears. The front panel of the dust jacket has a full-color painting showing two men wrestling on the floor of a colorful living room while a lovely young woman stands over them holding a large painted vase over her head as if she's getting ready to toss it down at them. The rear panel is a full-color painting showing a handsome man in a tuxedo with an anxious look on his face sitting next to a phonograph player while holding onto a framed portrait of a woman.
