Original promotional 4 page movie heralld pamphlet for the award-winning documentary ‘With Byrd at the South Pole.' 3” x 9” Illustrated with stills from the film and with drawings in shades of red and blue. Minor crease from folding, else fine. On November 29, 1929, the famous flight to the South Pole and back was made by Rear Admiral Richard E. Byrd, who along with pilot Bernt Balchen, co-pilot and radioman Harold June, and photographer Ashley McKinley, flew their Ford Trimotor to the South Pole and back in 18 hours, 41 minutes. The film won an Oscar for Best Cinematography (Joseph T. Rucker and Willard Van der Veer).
