Later printing. Paperbound. Signed and inscribed by the author Robert L. Short to actress Evelyn Keyes, who was married at the time to the great jazz musician and bandleader Artie Shaw. Inscribed: “For Evelyn Keyes - With all best wishes! May all your griefs be good ones - Robert Short.” From the library of Artie Shaw with his bookplate. Very good slightly used copy in printed wrappers. A collection of Christian parables highlighted with selected ‘Peanuts' cartoons featuring Charlie Brown by Charles M. Schulz. Evelyn Keyes (1916 - 2008) appeared in many terrific films, including ‘Here Comes Mr. Jordan' (1941), ‘The Jolson Story' (1946), ‘Mrs. Mike' (1949), ‘The Prowler ‘(1951), ‘99 River Street' (1953), with perhaps her most famous role as Scarlett O'Hara's younger sister in ‘Gone with the Wind' (1939).
