Along with the musical performances the script notes how Miss Garland reminisces and talks about some of the songs she's singing. The most notable change happened toward the end of the show's run with the firing and replacement of Mel Torme as musical arranger, about which Mr. Torme wrote in his book The Other Side of the Rainbow: With Judy Garland on the Dawn Patrol.
