First Edition, Paperback Original. Digest Size (5 3/8” x 7 3/8”), 130 pages. With usual light tanning to the pages, else a near fine bright copy with a hint of handling, a bit of dust soiling, and two minor creases to the outer bottom corner of the rear panel. The front panel has a terrific full color illustration of a buxom woman in a red dress, smoking a cigarette while exchanging a smile with a handsome man standing next to her with a bucket in his hand as two other women look on from the background with scowling expressions on their faces. With the publisher's text at the rear cover: “Love Slow...Fight Fast...Drink More...Talk Less...Mountain women and mountain men live that way, and that's the way they want to live.” Whit Harrison is the pseudonym of mystery and detective writer, Harry Whittington (1915 - 1989).

2 KEENE, DAY Farewell to Passion

First Edition, Paperback Original. Digest Size (5 1/2” x 7 1/2”), 128 pages. With usual light tanning to the pages, else a very good plus bright copy with some handling and dust soiling and minor reading creases and edge wear. The front panel has a terrific full color illustration of a beautiful woman in a revealing dress lying on the ground, either unconscious or dead, with a disheveled man with clenched fists and an anguished face standing above her with a red barn and bare tree in the background. From the front cover: “Big money and big crime breed passion and love, hatred and revenge!” Day Keene is the pseudonym of Chicago-born mystery and detective writer, Gunard Hjerstedt (1903 - 1969).

3 WHITTINGTON, HARRY Forever Evil

First Edition, Paperback Original. Digest Size (5 1/2” x 7 1/2”), 129 pages. With usual light tanning to the pages, else a very good bright copy with a 1” tear to the top of the spine fold, some handling, a faint dampstain to the outer edge of a preliminary page, and a bit of dust soiling. The front panel has a terrific full color illustration of a beautiful blonde woman in a revealing sarong being handled by a rough looking man in a white suit and hat standing behind her with a frightened woman looking on. From the front cover: “A modern pirate, a bitter blonde - and an island of terror!” Harry Whittington (1915 - 1989) also wrote under the pseudonym Whit Harrison.
