Cameron Crowe won the Oscar for Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen, and the film received several Oscar nominations, including Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Kate Hudson and Frances McDormand) and Best Editing (Joe Hutshing and Saar Klein). The film won several Golden Globes, including Best Picture, and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture (Kate Hudson), and was nominated for Golden Globes for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture (Frances McDormand) and Best Screenplay - Motion Picture (Cameron Crowe).
