1 CHAIS, PAMELA HERBERT Original Shooting Script, ‘Brenda's Unemployment,' for an Episode of the Television Comedy Series, Rhoda
Los Angeles MTM Enterprises / CBS 1975
First Edition. Original 49 page vintage first draft shooting script, dated July 14, 1975, used in the production of the classic sit-com television series, Rhoda, entitled ‘Brenda's Unemployment' written by Pamela Herbert Chais and directed by Howard Storm, which aired on October 13, 1975 (Season 2, Episode 6). The show was a spin-off of the mega-hit series, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, featuring Mary's best friend Rhoda Morgenstern and ran for five seasons. It was created by Alan Burns and James L. Brooks and starred Valerie Harper in the title role, Julie Kavner as her younger sister Brenda, and Harold Gould and Nancy Walker as their parents. Bradbound. Very good with a faint trace of dampstaining to the outer edges of the covers, barely affecting the interior, in printed studio wrappers with the original MTM graphic on the front cover. The show was consistently nominated for Emmy's and Golden Globes and both Valerie Harper and Julie Kavner won Emmy's for their performances.
