With seven terrific double-page pop-ups created by Kees Moerbeek of Hitchcock's most famous films: Saboteur, Vertigo, Psycho, The Birds, Marnie, Torn Curtain, and Frenzy. Tippi Hedren has signed the pop-up pages for The Birds and Marnie, the two Hitchcock films in which she starred. Each pop-up has a fold-out showing Hitchcock's cameo appearance in each film. First Edition. Signed and inscribed by the author Alfred Harding: “To Edward Arnold, In pleasant memory of the time when he didn't lose his shirt at Atlantic City. Alfred Harding, March 18, 1940,” Illustrated. Lightly used copy with some edge wear and a bit of tearing to the clot at the top and bottom of the spine without dust jacket. A 575 page detailed account of the Actors Equality Strike of 1929 which revolved around efforts to negotiate professional labor representation, better working conditions, and fairer salary standards for actors, radio personalities, and other performers employed throughout the United States. Edward Arnold was one of the founders of the Screen Actors Guild in Hollywood and became the union's President in 1935.
