Handwritten by Lee in blue ink it reads; ÒMerry Xmas to Linda, with love, Roland.Ó Roland V. Lee was a noted Hollywood film director who began in the silent film era and went on to create such films as Son of Frankenstein, The Bridge of San Luis Rey, Tower of London, Sign of Four, etc. The book recreates the various sections of the film including the terrific sequence showing Mickey Mouse as The Sorceror's Apprentice. With many color and black & white illustrations including 15 hand-tipped color plates. Noted book illustrator Kay Nielsen worked on the film, Fantasia, and some of his work is in the book. Tiny tape mark on front endpaper where card was once attached, else fine clean copy without dust jacket. Attractive copy with a Golden Age of Hollywood association.
