CATHER, WILLA Alexander's Bridge Boston Houghton Mifflin 1912 First Edition, First Printing, Second Issue with the half-title placed after the title page. This copy is in the purple binding lettered in gold, binding b; (no priority established); Crane A5.a.i. A fine clean copy with with the very slightest of use at the extremities, and faint offsetting shadows to the front and rear endsheets from the dust jacket flaps. There is chipping at the top of the spine approximately 1/2'' deep, affecting the top line of the title lettering, and a 3/4 x 1/4 inch chip at the bottom of the spine affecting the right half of the imprint, with some tiny chips at the corners. There are neat tissue interior repairs to all but one of the folds. According to Crane, there were two jackets and this is the first, with no pictorial embellishments. Rare in this early dust jacket.
