Some of his most famous projects include the Lovell Beach House in Newport Beach, California, the Wolfe House in Avalon, Catalina Island, California (now demolished), the Mackey Apartments in Los Angeles, California, and the Kings Road House in Los Angeles, California. Illustrated throughout with color and black & white photographs, 30 of which are by Julius Shulman whose interest in architectural photography was inspired through a chance meeting with architect Richard Neutra. Shulman has received many awards and honors over the years, including the American Institute of Architecture Gold Medal for architectural photography in 1969 and an Honorary Membership in 1980.
