Fine copy in a near fine dust jacket with a trace of dust soiling to the rear panel and a few tiny tears. From the jacket flap: “The dilemma of young people caught in the conflict between the rich who have known better days and the poor who find themselves suddenly rich serves as the central theme of Charles Grayson's novel of Los Angeles in the early 1940s, and of a group of young men and women trying to find meaning in this place and time.” Jimmy Starr (1902 - 1990) is best known as a Hollywood columnist, though he was also a writer and actor, known for The Corpse Came C.O.D.
