The book, itself, is a winner of the Pulitzer Prize. The mini-series received 37 Emmy nominations and won 9. It was also awarded a Golden Globe. Laid into the book is a printed invitation given to Bob Thomas inviting him to a party for the cast of Roots on March 21, 1977 at The Bistro in Beverly Hills. The book is fine in a near fine dust jacket with minor bits of wear. A superb souvenir of a great moment in television, and African- American history.
