1 GINGRICH, ARNOLD Nothing But People. The Early Years at Esquire. A Personal History 1928 - 1958
New York Crown 1971
First Edition. Very good copy with a 1/8 strip of slight fading to the cloth along the top and bottom edges in a very good dust jacket with a few tiny edge nicks, a 3/8 tear to the top edge of the rear panel, and a 1/4 barely noticeable tear to the front panel near the spine fold. Arnold Gingrich was the founding editor at Esquire magazine, and recounts here in affectionate and candid detail what it was like to work with the who's who of the literary world at the time, including F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, John Dos Passos, Theodore Dreiser, Ezra Pound, H.L. Mencken, George Jean Nathan, Sinclair Lewis, and more.
